Distancing Genius Ideas

I wrote about how people love or hate people based on their public thoughts and remember to keep what they say as part of their world as their perspective is different.

In a way, since their perspective is so different, the easiest way to avoid loving/hating them is to ignore them.

That definitely works.

I would say it’s also a shame - because the thoughts they share online can be fantastic.

So, what can you do?

Another approach is that you can follow them and read their thoughts, only after a long time has passed.

Why?

Their ideas at the moment can be right, or wrong, or just raw. The ideas may need more work, refinement, time, or even the world the catch up to their ideas.

When I read others’ past thoughts, most don’t make sense in the present context. Some ideas do stand the test of time.

Those are the ones you want to incorporate!

Follow ideas, know that they are from a different context, and put some distance between the idea and incorporating into your world.
