A Great Person and Valuable Music Era

When I look at popular American music charts over time, I notice that I have a gap in my knowledge of popular music in a specific period of time: 2001 - 2012.

A big reason for that gap is that in 2001, I moved to Japan and followed the music scene and charts in Japan instead.

So I can jump from one country’s chart to another.

From about 2003 - 2006, I do not have a reference and there’s a great reason for that:

My music tastes were directly influenced by a Great Person instead of music charts.

It was a new era of listening to music for me. I loved all the music from that time of my life. Such as Lemon Jelly’s .ky - who I believe someone else introduced you to?

As the music of this era for me isn’t on any popular chart I can reference, I use the iPod from that time that still has all the music. Whenever I want to go back to our time together, I get the iPod out and listen again.
