RK - Thank You
I vividly remember being at a party in Tokyo and someone yelled out:
If anyone wants to come to Burning Man, just ask!
This is the moment that changed my life.
I followed up with the person that yelled, RK, and I said: “I want to goto Burning Man and want to know more about going.”
That moment forward, everything just became a whirlwind. The craziest part was that RK lived in California and all of our communication was over email. None of our communication was real-time.
I had so much FUD about going after talking to RK - what was I going to do? How to get there? What to buy?
Did I mention: I NEVER CAMPED IN MY LIFE?!
Yet, here I was, preparing to fly, so I could camp in the desert for a week with someone I don’t know.
RK - I don’t remember how you did it, I lost those emails, that was the greatest thing a stranger has ever done for me: keep hope in me alive.
For this, I thank you. This lead to a series of life changing events and new people in my life.
RK - you are awesome.
