Substitute Feel for Think
One of the things I am working through to improve on is connecting with myself, not just “me”, my true self. The part of me that connects to higher energies.
A way I am doing that is changing my language, such as changing “think” to “feel” in a sentence. This is a small change, yet, the differences are profound.
The key to this difference is that I work in the technical domain extensively and think a lot.
Whenever I’m thinking - I use the analytical part of my brain.
When I want to connect with myself, using the word think automatically activates the analytical part of my brain - I start to associate this with me.
Connecting with my logical self kinda doesn’t work all the time, especially when I need to answer questions that are not logical, don’t have a definitive answer, and important to me. Such as:
- What’s my life mission?
- What kind of legacy do I want to leave behind?
- Who do I want to be?
The analytical part of me answered these questions before and set me off in a weird direction. The outcomes never were optimal and taught me hard lessons.
When I connect with my true self - answers to these questions put me in a path of joy and ease, so much that I felt I was dreaming.
To help me connect with my true self more - I use feel whenever I would use: “think”. In almost all instances, feel is a better word than think.
When you want to connect with your true self and want an easy way to do it:
In your language, substitute “feel” for “think”.
