Celebrate Everyday
I finished up awesome coaching and one of the best lessons that all of us can do:
Celebrate Your Achievements Everyday
This is important, especially as you take on challenges that take more than one day to accomplish. When there are challenges that take days, weeks, or no date (i.e. finding source of bug!) remembering any small wins, related to challenge or not, will keep your spirit up to continue the challenge.
When I started “celebrating daily”, it definitely felt cheesy, maybe even toxic positivity.
With more celebrations, even as “bad things” happen, I see that by celebrating daily, I gain a new perspective - even seeing the positive side of a “bad thing”.
In my coaching group - there’s a channel for Celebrations and I post one celebration there daily.
I also realize there’s more than one thing to celebrate a day and have my own list where I just put in all the things that are awesome for me, even small things like:
- going to bed at 20:30 last night!
- getting continuous ~8hrs of sleep!
- cutting grass before dinner!
- getting business cards made!
- playing with QR codes with images embedded
- finished sandler sales book!
Just like bad things can put you in a down mood, good things put you in an up mood.
It’s important to remember those good things, especially as its too easy to focus only on the bad things.
Celebrate everything everyday!
