Limits of Technology X?

What are the fundamental limits of X?

Where X represented the information source du jour, such as: Google, Wikipedia, Stack Overflow, Books (back in the day) and today: ChatGPT.

All of these technologies are awesome. They are leaps and bounds of what they replace.

They all have the same limit:

If nobody writes about it, these systems will not know about it.

Information that feeds these system ultimately come from us - humans. We feed these technology systems, they just present our own information back to us in a novel way.

These technologies are tools which are exciting, remember to look into how they work so you understand their limits.

Note: this is also an interview question I use to see how candidates understand technology and the way they discuss it. 😉
