Sleep Goal: Wind Down Routine Update

Update on my Sleep Goal: Wind Down Routine.

Having all those steps before sleeping made getting to sleep even harder than I realized.

I am a person of consistency - at the same time, consistency kills.

When implementing the routine, I felt I was doing two sleep routines: one for me and one for the kids!

I caught a cold and during a cold, I throw out all of my routines. I just want to rest and whatever I was doing before probably did not help me stay healthy.

I took this opportunity to reset my wind down routine.

Instead of having eight steps after my kids’ sleep wind down, I just take two:

  1. Watch whatever I want until 21:00
  2. ZZzz..

The 21:00 limit is essential - it motivates me to put the kids to sleep early so I can watch whatever I want. The earlier they goto bed, the more I can watch!
