Travel Booking is HARD

I made a trip for my family where we would depart together and have separate return dates.

The approach I took was to make two separate bookings, one for me, another for my family.

When making the bookings, I made sure of all the small details - their seats were together as well as mine across all the legs of the trip.

Looking today after getting an email for a schedule change, I realize:

I booked our departure dates on the wrong days!

In this case, I was able to correct by paying the fee difference - I was >this close< to reorganizing the logistics of my family trip.

Travel is hard, because precision matters and well, booking trips is not something I do frequent enough to have good memory of everything that happens.

Hence, I have a new respect for travel agents - this stuff is hard! (Let’s not get into the tech of travel!)
