Changing Workout Routine
After I got hurt doing my burpee workout every day, seven days a week - I slowed the pace down.
Instead of doing the burpee workout everyday, I alternated - doing the burpee workout Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Instead of doing the full 100 burpees, I would do 50%, or 50 full intensity burpees - jump and lunge out. For some reason, I found the walk out burpees to be harder, even though the intensity and impact to be lower.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I would do calesthetics for strength.
I gave myself the weekend off - no workout at all.
This change reduced my consistency and improved my motivation to do burpees. Instead of panting for my life every morning, it’s only three times a week. Mondays are the hardest!
Most importantly, I love the weekends again!
