Toastmasters Adventures: Finding a New Home

This is a series on my adventures in a Toastmasters Club.

Once I decided that the club needs a new home instead of staying at the current location where the owner changed the rules on us, I had to start looking for the new home.

Where do I start?!

I am eternally grateful to the executive team for their support. JH, the club treasurer at the time, loved the club and spent time with me to help find a new home.

I remember visiting other restaurants, similar to our current home and having (well really, just JH) conversations with the owner about having our Toastmasters club meet there.

I didn’t have 100% understanding of the conversations, they generally had the same vibe to them:

Of course you can meet here, but once there’s something more important to the business, you would have to find something else.

This is exactly the kind of situation I wanted to fix for the club - not just keep repeating it!

I started visiting other spaces to find our new home.
