A Great Person and Valuable Mentor
When I met Great Person and Valuable friend, they also turned out to be a fantastic mentor.
- They shared their knowledge with me relevant to my crises at the time.
- They let me make my own decisions, whether the decisions were to my benefit or demerit. I would experience first hand the results - regardless of the outcome.
In this way, I am forever grateful for this knowledge and experience - as these things help improve me taking responsibility for my decisions. I definitely remember all the “wrong decisions” I made - and still working through them now.
This experience with my mentor shapes my thoughts on being valuable to younger and older people. My mentor helped me in one way, I helped them in another way.
I am now coming to the age my mentor was when I first met them, I treat all mentees in the same manner: to pass my knowledge and experience onto someone and be open to knowledge and experience from others.
