COVID-19 Work Obedience

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I suddenly changed my stance for my team to work in the office, from being in office most of the time

The issue was that I forced the team to be in person so much that getting the team out of the office when the COVID-19 pandemic even started was difficult. They were so obedient to work in the office that when I told them not to goto the office, they were still going into the office!

The timing of me telling them not to goto the office was before the general panic. I prefer the team to just work from home earlier than catch COVID-19 early on (when the world knew nothing about the virus.)

I drew on the situation I read elsewhere - things were getting crazy and I had a feeling the situation would only get crazier.

In my mind, I had an obedient team - so obedient that they would not acknowledge a direct order contradicting a previous order, even for their health.
