New Manager - Respond to Raise and Promotion Request
As a new manager, especially if you were part of the team, things change. Everything changes - so much that when team members would ask you for things you want for yourself (i.e. raises and promotions), not only do you need to take a different approach, you need a different mindset.
The best way to start this evolution as a manager is getting a different approach when a team member asks for a raise or promotion - which you may, or may not have capability to give OR even know how - even if you wanted!
