All of their information is accessible for free as a podcast. A subscription is worth it, just for the text transcripts alone.
Manager Tools is probably the one resource I found that supports the role of a middle manager. Answering tough manager questions like:

My Experience
I was fortunate enough to tell my neighbor early about my promotion to manager and he recommended Manager Tools.
Even though I have my MBA, VP Education and President experience in a Toastmasters group, and volunteer experience running training in the Red Cross - Manager Tools is by far and away the best resource for middle managers.
I attended the Manager Tools conference in Newark, NJ and it accelerated my growth as a manager even more. I would highly recommend attending their conference. There’s a document on even what to say to attend Manager Tools’ conference.
